It’s high time to confront a harsh reality: the karate you’re practicing, being taught, is a sham. It’s utterly ineffective when it comes to actual real-world combat.
.
The crux of the issue lies in the fact that people are being duped into believing that traditional karate will protect you, courtesy of instructors who have barely scratched the surface of any real-world practice.
.
These self-proclaimed masters, lead their students astray, and this could result in injuries and harm when faced with genuine real-world situations.
.
Have you ever been attacked outside of the dojo?
.
By the time you realize you’re in a scuffle, it’s already halfway over, and you’ve likely absorbed several blows to the face, your shirt pulled over your head, rendering you disoriented and vulnerable.
.
The reality of such an encounter is staggering: chaos reigns, vision impaired from a stray jab, ears ringing from a solid punch, the metallic tang of blood in your mouth, and the unsettling sensation of swallowing a dislodged tooth. It’s a disordered, violent frenzy, with adrenaline coursing through your veins, heart pounding furiously.
.
In the aftermath, you’re left gasping for breath, body pumped full of adrenaline, and racked with exhaustion, possibly even vomiting from the sheer exertion. And all of this unfolds in less than a minute, leaving you battered, bruised, or worse.
.
Surviving a real fight hinges on instinct and adaptability. There’s no safety net, no safety equipment, no controlled environment to rely on. Any hesitation, any moment lost in thought, translates to an opportunity for your assailant to inflict serious harm, perhaps irreversibly.
.
The traditional karate you diligently practice within the confines of your dojo exists in a bubble, far removed from the brutal reality of a real-world encounter. The disconnect between theory and practice is stark, and you remain blissfully unaware of your inadequacies until faced with a ruthless opponent intent on doing you harm.
.
A fight is a primal, brutal, a visceral struggle for survival. There’s no room for error, no margin for hesitation. A split-second lapse in judgment can spell disaster.
.
As the sweat and blood pour down your face and sting your eyes, you realize that the block and reverse punch you practiced so many times, just will not work.
.
You have been horribly lied to.
.
These fake traditional karate practices need to stop. The impostors posing as egoless karate masters, adorned with fabricated lineages – their eventual unmasking, and they will be, makes me very happy.
.
But I worry about the kids, the students, both young and old, who fall prey to their deceitful teachings, leaving themselves vulnerable and defenseless.
.
It’s a tragic deception, fraught with peril. And until we acknowledge the danger posed by these purveyors of false wisdom, the threat persists, lurking in every corner, in every sports hall…… You know who you are!
.
Understand the differences, and stay safe.
.
NOTE: The purpose of this article is not to disparage all traditional karate schools, but rather to highlight the potential dangers of certain practices that may not adequately prepare students for real-world self-defense. It is crucial to conduct thorough research and choose a qualified instructor who prioritizes safety and practical application of techniques if your interest is in self-protection.
