“Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.“

Hard work always pays dividends. The amount of effort expended to reach a goal determines what you achieve. There are those however, who like to take shortcuts.
.
The poor work ethic shows in how you see life. It also shows in how you treat others, and the conditions of life you expect from them. It is especially intolerable if you do little work, and expect high rewards, if you want something for nothing, if you take a shortcut without putting in the time and effort, when others around you have taken the time.
.
Today, some individuals, jump from one martial art to the next, trying to complete their training, grabbing a belt here, and a belt there along the way. Adding more and more techniques, because very few of them are patient enough to truly understand the art they are practicing.
.
These people then turn to instructing (their not teachers), and they are trying to educate without actually having the knowledge. Then teaching students simply based off of a curriculum, and telling their students this is what you need to achieve for your next belt rank.
.
“Information is not knowledge.” – Albert Einstein
.
These instructors do not fully understand the art they practice, or get bored with it before reaching any depth of understanding. To find the deeper meaning of karate techniques and the principles within, you need a teacher who can help you to understand, not one who has taken shortcuts.
.
A wise man once said; “bees don’t waste their time explaining to flies that honey is better than shit.”
.
If you want something to happen, you need to want it badly and be motivated to make it happen. To improve in karate takes hard work, integrity, making sacrifices, and professionalism. It is very much driven by your own hard work, the results you produce, and your own individual motivation. Then you will earn the respect from your peers and those around you.
.
Knowledge is built over-time not overnight.??
