Indulging in hate and revenge is like drinking saltwater, the thirst can only grow

Sometimes the best thing you can do is not ruminate, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess.
.
At times, we struggle amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, so much so, that we get frustrated and are completely unaware of which way to go. Life is not going to happen according to you.
.
When we overthink about something or get obsessed about it, that’s when we become confused, depressed, angry, even want to seek revenge.
.
You have to accept that you cannot control each and everything in life, and there are certain things that will happen in a way that are not suited to you.
.
Most people have had the experience of obsessing over something stressful that happened in your day. It may have been something someone said that hit you hard, it may have been a problem that replays itself in your mind over and over with no acceptable solution in sight.
.
So why do people obsess over things?
.
It appears that different people obsess over things for different reasons, and some people are more prone to it than others.
.
You may want to make sense of a situation, but can’t seem to understand or accept it, so you keep replaying it. Other people want reassurance that they were right (especially if they feel that they were wrong).
.
Some people try to solve a problem or prevent similar things from happening in the future, but can’t figure out how. And others may just want to feel heard and validated, or want to feel justified in absolving themselves of responsibility.
.
Rather than remaining hurt or angry, come from a place of strength and understanding. The first thing many of us think of after someone has wronged or disrespected us, is how to get even, get revenge – how to hand out a dose of that person’s own medicine, in an attempt to feel totally vindicated.
.
“Revenge is never a straight line. It’s a forest, and like a forest it’s easy to lose your way, to get lost, to forget where you came in.” – Hattori Hanzo
.
People often misunderstand that taking revenge will make them feel better…. It DOESN’T. Indulging in hate and revenge is like drinking saltwater, the thirst can only grow. Don’t get obsessed, in your daily life and in your training…. or it will possess you. ??
